A stress-free and flavorful BBQ chicken dish made in the slow cooker, perfect for sandwiches or as a main dish.

  • Total Time: 375 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts in the Crockpot. Ensure the chicken is evenly distributed at the bottom.
  2. In a bowl, mix BBQ sauce, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.
  3. Pour the mixture over the chicken in the Crockpot, making sure the chicken is fully covered with the sauce.
  4. Cook on low for 360 minutes or on high for 240 minutes until the chicken is tender and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  5. Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks and mix with the sauce.
  6. Serve on sandwiches, or with coleslaw or pickles for extra zing!

Notes

Marinate the chicken overnight for extra flavor or use a Dutch oven if you don’t have a Crockpot.
