Ingredients
Scale
- 4 chicken breasts
- 1 cup Cherry Dr Pepper
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F).
- In a bowl, mix Cherry Dr Pepper and BBQ sauce together until well combined.
- Season the chicken breasts with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side; look for a nice golden brown color and ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- During the last 5 minutes of grilling, brush the chicken with the Cherry Dr Pepper BBQ sauce, allowing it to caramelize and develop a rich, glossy finish.
- Remove the chicken from the grill, let it rest for a few minutes to retain its juices, then serve with additional sauce on the side for dipping.
Notes
For maximum flavor, marinate the chicken in BBQ sauce overnight. Serve with fresh herbs or lemon wedges for garnish.
